MyBar Beirut (No. really, it is YOUR bar)

Sushi? check. Drinks? check. Music? check. So what is exactly MyBar. The name says it all ladies and gentlemen, yes it's a bar slash restaurant which you can be part owner of, whilst enjoying late nights at the trendy place in downtown Beirut. This pioneering concept located on the first floor of the Beryrtus Building in Beirut’s Central District, was launched two years ago by brothers Haytham and Nael Nasr whom came up with the concept of creating a bar where 100 investors were needed to raise the start-up capital of $1 million dollars, divided into shares ranging from $ 2,000 to $20,000. All they had to do is post videos on youtube, advertise on facebook and seduce the owner and CEO of the Virgin empire, Richard Branson. Being a part owner of MyBar comes with many privileges and one of them is having each owner's name carved on a section of a wall. Proud and loud! MyBar offers high quality Asian fusion cuisine catered by professional international chefs and a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Amongst the team that is behind the mouthwatering dishes, is the sole Japanese chef in Lebanon, whose specialties include: Fresh Seabass, grilled with Portobello mushrooms and furikake rice and Wagyu Japanese premium beef, mix mayzina salad, furikake powder and fleur de sel as well as sushi.
MyBar also boasts unique interior design showed off on two main levels. The first level is composed of a bar accompanied by several different sized tables linked together via a futuristic white pipe settings suspended from the ceilings. The second level is more of a lounge style setting, offering guests the opportunity to wine and dine on comfortably seated tables whilst also having a dedicated bar area.

Verdict: 5/5. A place to go for late night dinner and drinks with friends. Enjoyable environment and people to mix with. Lovely food, music and drinks. Pricey? no. Generously and affordably priced. All worth it.
