From Oscar wwinning director Martin Scorsese, "Shutter Island" is the story of two U.S marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island's fortress- like hospital for the criminally insane.
Verdict: A masterpiece. It is one of those films that when you walk away you feel like you've actually watched something worthwhile for once in a blue-moon. It will keep you glued to your screen and take you through the same journey and investigation as the protagonist and most importantly at the same pace. Martin Scorsese is a true genius at what he does and knows exactly how to play out a plot in 2hr 15mins whilst making sure nothing is missing. A true psychologic thriller (with a touch of romance)... A dvd to own! 5/5
